The New York Rangers will play in the Eastern Conference final for the second time in three seasons after rallying to beat the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 6 of their second-round series.
They will face the winner of the Boston Bruins-Florida Panthers series. The conference final will open at New York's Madison Square Garden because the Rangers won the Presidents' Trophy as the NHL's top regular-season team.
The NHL released the schedule for the Eastern Conference final, which could run as late as June 3. The league plans to release the schedule for the Western Conference final once that matchup is known.
